General Description: The passive income/Independent visa, also called the as the D7 Visa subclass, gives resident status to immigrants who live off a fixed income in the Country of residence.
The legal basis for this type of visa can be found in article 58 paragraph 1 of Law Nº 23/2007 of July 4, and regulated by article 24d) of Regulation Decree Nº 84/2007 of November 5.
In basic terms, For a residence permit you must prove that you have a fixed income from capital, property income from real estate or pension in addition to proving the income, they shall be required to prove that the income is regular each year. The individual applying must have an income summing upto €7620 a year for the first adult, €3,810 after the first adult and every child €2160. The application has to be filed at the nearest consulate in the Country of residence.

3.Once the application has been filled at the nearest consulate for which the time frame is between 60 to 90 days to grant the D7 Visa post which you will travel to Portugal and meet with our Lawyer in Lisbon to complete your TRP (Temporary Residence Permit) application process.
4.We will introduce you to Portuguese banks in order to open an account and transfer the funds required, NISS- (Social Security Insurance Number), NIF (Tax Number).
5.We will send you the residence permit application form, and support you with all required documents. After that, application must be submitted to the Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service’s (SEF). You may choose between submit the application personally or let us do it for you with a letter of authorization/power of attorney
6.After submission you will be scheduled for a Bio-metrics for your residence Card.
7.If you wish to be considered as a Non-Habitual resident and benefit from an advantageous tax regime, we will handle the application process post the residence permits.
8.Applications for your renewal of the ‘Residency Permits’ should be sent every year for the next 4 years. Permanent residency will be granted in 5th year.
